Together, we’re empowering Catholic men to live their faith at home, in their parish, at work and in their community. Charity is at the heart of our work and our faith — and it always has been. For the Knights of Columbus, charity means supporting a virtually boundless variety of projects such as Coats for Kids, Keep Christ in Christmas, Special Olympics, Habitat for Humanity, Baptism Rose ‘n Rosary, Supplies for school, College, High School, and Elementary Scholarships, and so much more.

With 1.9 million members around the world, we have been investing our time, effort and resources into our values of charity, unity, fraternity and patriotism since 1882.

Founded on the principles of charity, unity and fraternity, the Knights of Columbus was established in 1882 by Father Michael J. McGivney, assistant pastor of St. Mary's Church in New Haven, Conn., and a group of parishioners. Their intent? To bring financial aid and assistance to the sick, disabled and needy members and their families.

Today, Blessed Father McGivney is being considered for sainthood.
